About
coffee…
There
are
numerous
species
of
coffee,
but
only
two
are
of
importance
to
coffee
drinkers;
Coffea
Arabica (Arabica),
and
Coffea
Canephora (Robusta).
Arabica
beans
produce
the
world's
finest
cup
of
coffee.
All
upscale
coffee
houses
use
Arabica
beans
exclusively.
Robusta
beans,
on
the
other
hand,
are
used
in
lower-priced,
supermarket
coffees,
or
as
fillers
for
some
supermarket
"gourmet
blends."
There
are
some
important
and
notable
differences
between
Arabic
and
Robusta
coffee
beans.
Robusta
beans
are
just
that;
robust.
They
are
very
hardy
and
resilient,
grown
at
low
altitudes,
harvested
by
machines,
packaged
and
sold
at
a
low
price.
Arabica
beans,
on
the
other
hand,
are
fragile,
grown
high
in
the
mountains,
carefully
harvested
by
hand,
and
sold
in
specialty
gourmet
coffee
shops
worldwide.
Discerning
coffee
drinkers
buy
only
Arabica
blends,
because
premium
beans
deliver
premium
taste,
with
half
the
caffeine.
Because
of
our
commitment
to
excellence,
OMNICUP
uses
only
the
finest
Arabica
beans,
prepared
by
our
own
master
roaster,
and
packaged
fresh
to
ensure
full-bodied
coffee
flavor.
